(Last strip, second panel, should be "It was A terrible")
You know what would make a great book--not *just* a collection of "Adult Children" strips, but a collection WITH commentary! Such as you've already written! You could intersperse the strips with these columns you've already written! (!).
Christmas is coming and this would take care of my gift giving needs. (Sorry, I ran out of exclamation points...)
I survived working retail hell for almost 15 years, and the scars left on me by idiot managers, awful customers, and corporate interference still show today.
I find it hard to get out of grocery store in less than 15 minutes, because I developed a habit of taking my uniform shirt / vest off and shopping for a snack for 15 minutes on break.
I absolutely hate dealing with people now, when I was pretty social at the start of when I worked retail.
I learned that human resources considers me a resource, and I'm a problem if I complain.
I learned that the most valuable skill in working as part of a team is not actually being able to get work done, but being able to kiss everybody else's ass so that they don't care if I slack off.
That one is especially applicable to managers, especially Karen and Kyle type managers, who can and will deem you a problem if you are not 100% boot licking them constantly.
I need to stop.
All this does is bring up the hatred I have of what the DNC and federal government and idiot GOP and activists have turned the life of a working person into:
A hell that is arguably worse than what a medieval peasant struggling to live dealt with.
I had an awful manager who berated me when I called in sick. He said ‘I’M not feeling good and I’M here at work!’ That one with the boss at the window triggered my PTSD
I needed an option on the poll for “confusingly intermingled - I work from home…” 🙂

Thank you! Excellent suggestion!
(I found a few exclamation points that you dropped.)
Nice try buddy! I've been telling him this for 2 years! You don't get to take the credit!
One of your best series yet.
I really appreciate that. Thank you!

This should be printed out for new employee orientation.
I've been retired for almost 11 years - seldom doing anything I don't want to do .
I don't anticipate that I will achieve a LIFETIME work-life balance record by the time I die.
Oh, well. At least I'm working on it.
Or, rather, not working on it.
I had an awful manager who berated me when I called in sick. He said ‘I’M not feeling good and I’M here at work!’ That one with the boss at the window triggered my PTSD
Those kind of people are begging to be taught a lesson with a chronic illness.
i'm retired for nine years. I need to live another 40 years to get anywhere near balanced.
Me too. But I have worked retail and what you say was true back in the 60’s.
