My number one tactic against rude, irate customers was to kill them with kindness. That was the only real pleasure I ever got at those customer service jobs.
Adamantium is the fictional metal inspired by Adamantine, the metal worked by Hephaestus, which inffuses Wolverine 's skeleton and claws. Captain America's shield is an accidental Adamantium/Vibranium alloy
Patriots Day on the third Monday in April, when Massachusetts celebrates the battles of Lexington and Concord, is a state holiday. My first year after moving to New England for a job, I woke up, got dressed, drove the 1:15 drive up I95 to Lexington in the snow, pulled into the parking lot, and saw that it was empty. Went inside to see what was up. Nobody working today. Patriots Day. Got back in the car and drove the 1:30 home in the accumulating snowfall. Was not happy about the whole thing.
I recently showed up for work as usual one day, only to be told there were no scheduled classes that day. But there WERE the usual scheduled classes. The admin person had got dates mixed up. Did I miss a golden opportunity to take an excusable day off?
I work retail, so sometimes I go there to shop, but the only time I ever showed up to work and wasn't scheduled was because somebody had changed the schedule and nobody told me. 😂 They let me work four hours and then sent me home.
My very favorite part of my job, is telling people no. I absolutely thrive on the disappointment and anger that comes from it! "No. I can't print with white ink on your black cardstock. I don't have white ink. Its toxic."
Definitely aging out with the green giant reference, but I loved it.

Wow...very relatable. I've had a lot of similar experiences and made similar choices. I'm cartooning about it too : ) Enjoy!

That’s really the best case scenario when that happens.
