The Horrible, Horrible Zoom Meetings

Ok, this has to be behind a paywall to protect the innocent. I’m the innocent in this case.

Except I’m not innocent. Let me try to sound innocent: I would innocently take pictures of managers during Zoom meetings and would send them to friends to make fun of their manager faces. Nope, I really can’t spin that.

I’ve had tooth extractions that were more interesting that these meetings.

The funny part was managers putting on their manager faces. They always had a look of deep concern, or perhaps constipation. Sometimes I thought I was in the middle of a hostage negotiation instead of a meeting.

Of course these meetings were held in the middle of a Monday afternoon when it was always very busy in the real world. Corporate assured us to stay calm because we were not busy. Their assurance never helped.

So here we go. These are the people who are getting paid way more than those who are doing the actual work of running the store.
