Not planning for staffing when an employee goes on vacation is child's play. Not planning for staffing when an employee is pregnant and will take 12 weeks of maternity leave--and you have watched as the pregnancy has become more obvious--takes real skill! 🤣

A vacation gets you out of a routine and makes you appreciate the routine when you get back to it...
Ideally, yes. Mine sometimes gave me clarity to leave that routine.

I am an immigrant so my vacation time is spent in my native country. Which makes me spend all the money I earn in the new country. Oh well.
